Midwest Challenger League – Official Match Rules

Welcome to the competitive core of the Midwest Challenger League. These rules ensure fair play, integrity, and a high-quality experience for every team and player involved.

Match Format

• Regular Season: Double Round Robin — Best of 1 (Bo1)

• Playoffs: Best of 3 (Bo3), single elimination

• Finals: Best of 5 (Bo5), single elimination

• All matches are played on the NA League of Legends server using Tournament Draft.

Weekly Schedule

Match Days: Fridays & Saturdays

• Game 1: 7:00 PM Central

• Game 2: 8:30 PM Central
  Each team plays 2 games per day, totaling 4 matches per week.

Drafting Format

• Regular season matches use Tournament Draft.

• Playoffs feature Fearless Draft — no champion repeats across the series.

Lobby Setup

• The first-listed team is the home team and hosts the lobby.

• Home team chooses side selection.

• Opponents may request a lobby verification before starting.

Game Start Protocol

• All players must be ready 5 minutes before match time.

• Teams more than 10 minutes late may forfeit that game.

• Technical pauses are allowed for up to 10 minutes per match with valid reasoning.

Substitutions

• All subs must be pre-approved and registered.

• Subs may only be used between matches, not during games.

Broadcasting & Recording

• All matches are casted and streamed live on the official Twitch channel.

• Players must not livestream their POVs unless cleared by league admins.

• Teams may be asked to provide recordings or replay files upon request.

Conduct Expectations

• No harassment, griefing, or unsportsmanlike behavior allowed.

• Respect toward teammates, opponents, staff, and casters is mandatory.

• Breaches may result in warnings, suspensions, or disqualification.

Match Reporting

• Both team captains must submit match results within 30 minutes post-game.

• Results must include a screenshot of the post-game lobby.

• If there's a dispute, the league will review recordings and submitted evidence.
